Gauguin in majesty at the Grand Palais.

Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) was one of the major French painters of the 19th century and one of the most important precursors to modern art. The exhibition at the Grand Palais retraces his surprising career, in which he explored the most diverse art forms: painting, drawing, etching, sculpture, ceramics and so on. The masterpieces brought together in this exhibition highlight the artist's relationship with his materials as well as his creative process. It explores Gauguin's use of themes and recurrent motifs.
