A man of many talents.
Spring 2013 sees the National Maritime Museum in Paris devoting a major exhibition to Méheut Mathurin (1882-1958).
Appointed painter to the French navy in 1921, Méheut Mathurin worked within a maritime environment throughout his life. Originally celebrated for his draughtsmanship, this Breton artist also became a ceramist, sculptor, designer, engraver and illustrator.
Exhibited in a space of 1000m ², his many varied works - decorations, studies, sketches, drawings and illustrated books - will testify to his multi-faceted talents.
