From Tuesday, November 19 2013 to Sunday, April 6 2014
Latin America in the viewfinder.
Organized in collaboration with the Museo Amparo in Puebla, Mexico, this exhibition at the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art offers a new perspective on photography in Latin America from 1963 to the present day, exploring in particular the relationship between text and image.
It shows the diversity of photographic practices on the South American continent, looking at documentary photography, the work of contemporary artists and finally at vernacular photography.
With almost 70 artists from 10 countries, this exhibition will be an opportunity for the visitor to delve into the recent history of Latin America and discover major artists from visual cultures of great wealth.
